Classic Beef Bourguignon Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large dutch oven or oven-safe pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp.
- Remove the bacon from the pot and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pot.
