Bubble Tea Recipe

This iconic beverage, also known as Boba Tea, is a delightful concoction that originated in the bustling streets of Taiwan. It’s a mesmerizing blend of rich tea, creamy milk, chewy tapioca pearls, and a touch of sweetness that has taken the global beverage scene by storm. For the tea base:
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cup hot water
For the bubble tea:
  • 1/2 cup cooked tapioca pearls (available in Asian grocery stores)
  • 1/2 cup brewed tea, cooled
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes


  1. Prepare the tea base by steeping the black tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the brewed tea cool down.
  2. In a glass, add the cooked tapioca pearls.
  3. Pour the brewed and cooled tea over the pearls, followed by the milk.
  4. Add the simple syrup to sweeten the bubble tea. You can adjust the amount according to your preference for sweetness.
  5. Add ice cubes to the glass, and gently stir the ingredients to combine.
