Paneer Tikka

Paneer Tikka Delight—a dish that encapsulates the rich tapestry of Indian flavors and textures. Imagine succulent cubes of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) marinated in a medley of spices, skewered, and grilled to perfection. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cut into cubes
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh vegetables (bell peppers, onions) for skewering
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Paneer:
    1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, gram flour, ginger-garlic paste, chaat masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
  2. Coat the Paneer:
    1. Add paneer cubes to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, allowing the flavors to infuse.
  3. Skewer and Grill:
    1. Preheat the grill. Skewer marinated paneer cubes along with fresh vegetables of your choice. Brush with vegetable oil.
  4. Grill to Perfection:
    1. Grill the skewers over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and has a smoky char, approximately 10-12 minutes.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    1. Sprinkle the Sizzling Paneer Tikka Delight with chopped fresh coriander. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
