Tofu and Mushroom Stir Fry Recipe

  • 1 block firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (any variety)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions


  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the tofu and mushrooms and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the tofu and mushrooms and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until everything is coated and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles.
