Tuna Curry Recipe

  • 500g fresh tuna, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish


  1. Prepare the Tuna:
    1. In a large skillet, heat coconut oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced green chilies. Saute until the onions are soft and translucent.
  2. Add the Spices:
    1. Stir in the ground turmeric, ground coriander, ground cumin, and chili powder. Cook for a minute until the spices are fragrant.
  3. Cook the Tuna:
    1. Add the cubed fresh tuna to the skillet and mix well with the spice mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the tuna is lightly browned on all sides.
  4. Simmer with Coconut Milk:
    1. Pour in the coconut milk and add the chopped tomatoes. Stir to combine and bring the curry to a gentle simmer.
  5. Season and Garnish:
