Korean Japchae Noodle Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces sweet potato starch noodles

  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 pound beef sirloin, sliced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sweet potato starch noodles according to package instructions, then rinse and drain.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat.
  4. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned.
  5. Add the sliced onion, julienned carrot, and sliced red bell pepper, and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked sweet potato starch noodles and the soy sauce mixture to the skillet or wok, and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the sliced green onions and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions.
