Turkish Lamb Kebab Recipe

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes


  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onion, parsley, mint, garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a long sausage shape.
  3. Thread each sausage shape onto a wooden skewer, pressing the meat firmly onto the skewer.
  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with some oil.
  5. Place the skewers onto the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the meat is cooked through.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill or pan and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
