    COS-24BIWCS Troubleshooting

    The temperatures shown on the left and right LED displays do not match
    1. The left LED display shows the set temperature, while the right shows the actual temperature. 
    2. You may need to wait up to 12 hours before noticing the effects of a temperature change due to the critical mass within a full wine cellar.
    3. Once the temperature has been set, do not adjust it frequently. The thermostat will maintain the temperature inside the wine cellar within a +/- 2.5ºC (4.5°F) range. However, the thermal inertia of the wine and the glass will ensure that the actual temperature of the wine will only fluctuate 0.5ºC to 1ºC (0.9 to 1.8°F).
    The wine cellar does not operate
    1. Check that the unit has been plugged in, and that the outlet has been tested for the appropriate voltage and amperage. 
    2. Check that the circuit breaker has not been tripped. Reset it if necessary.
    3. Turn the unit on by holding the power button for a few seconds.
    The wine cellar is not cold enough
    1. Check that the set temperature is appropriate for the types of wine and beverages being stored.
    2. If the wine cellar is installed in a warm external environment, such as an outdoor kitchen, a lower temperature may need to be used.
    3. The door is being opened too often. Allow the unit to operate without opening the door for a while.
    4. Check that the door is completely closed.
    5. Check that the door gasket is sealing properly and is not damaged or loose.
    The wine cellar turns on or off frequently
    1. The room temperature is higher than normal and a greater amount of cooling is required to keep the internal temperature of the cellar consistent.
    2. The cellar has recently been filled and it is attempting to maintain the set temperature.
    3. The door is being opened too often, is not completely closed, or the door gasket is not sealing properly and the cellar must turn on more frequently to maintain the temperature. 
    4. The temperature has not been properly set. Ensure that the set temperature is at the appropriate setting.
    The light does not work
    1. The unit may not be plugged in.
      1. Check the unit’s power connection.
    2. The circuit breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown. Reset the circuit breaker and check the fuses.
    3. The bulb may need to be replaced. Inspect the bulb’s filament and replace if necessary.
    4. The light button is turned OFF. Turn the light button ON.
    The wine cellar is vibrating
    1. Some amount of vibration is normal as the compressor runs. 
    2. If the unit still seems to be vibrating more than it should, ensure that the wine cellar is on a level surface and is not crooked.
    The wine cellar seems to make too much noise
    1. The unit will make a rattling noise as the refrigerant flows. This is normal operation and an expected side effect of the cooling system.
    2. As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow of refrigerant into your wine cellar.
    3. The inside walls may contract and expand, causing popping and crackling noises.
    4. If the unit seems to be making additional noise(s) to the above, ensure that the wine cellar is on a level surface and is not crooked.
    The door will not close properly
    1. The door may not close properly if the unit is not level. Ensure that the wine cellar is on a level surface and is not crooked.
    2. If the door has been reversed, check to make sure it was reinstalled properly.
    3. The rubber gasket may be damaged or installed improperly. Inspect the door gasket for any abnormalities.
    4. The shelves may be out of position. Check each shelf to ensure it is installed properly and is level.
