    COS-950SLTX-E Gas Installation Troubleshooting

    I smell gas after installing my unit
    1. Immediately quit all usage of the unit.
    2. Switch off the gas supply to the unit by turning the manual shut-off valve to the OFF position.
    3. Contact your gas supplier to schedule a technician who will perform a leak test and red tag the unit if necessary.
    4. For the models COS-965AGC, COS-965AGFC, COS-244AGC, F965, and F965NF:
      1. The technician should inspect the rear of the unit where the regulator is installed, and ensure that the pieces are assembled in this order (Parts #1-5 are included with the unit):
        1. Main inlet pipe/manifold for the unit
        2. Blue fiber gasket
        3. Gold adapter piece
        4. Blue fiber gasket
        5. Gas regulator
        6. Any additional adapters and gas lines necessary for your installation
    5. Request and save a copy of the technician’s report detailing where any leak(s) is located.
    6. Contact support or a qualified technician for further troubleshooting and diagnosis. 
    No gas flow
    1. Check that the gas shut-off valve is turned to the ON position.
    2. Check that the included gas regulator and adapter piece are installed.
    3. Check that the arrow on the bottom of the gas regulator is pointing towards the unit.
    4. Push the air out of the gas lines.
      1. Push in the burner control knob and turn to ignite.
      2. Continue to hold the control knob for up to 60 seconds.
      3. Repeat until the burner lights or there is a gas smell.
    Low gas pressure/flow
    1. Confirm that the home’s gas pressure is correct for your unit. 
      1. Natural Gas Requirements: Supply Pressure: 6″ to 14″ water column. 
      2. Propane Gas Requirements: Supply Pressure: 11″ to 14″ water column.
    2. Check that the included gas regulator’s internal retainer pin is in the correct position for the type of gas used (Natural gas or LP gas). See LP Conversion Instructions for reference.
    3. Check that the orifice numbers for each burner match the necessary orifice for the type of gas used (Natural gas or LP gas).
    4. If using LP gas, check that the LP tank is full and the gas pressure is appropriate for your unit according to the included installation manual.
    5. Elevation above 2,500 feet: Additional calibration is required for high elevation gas installation. Contact support for more information.
